Google Sheets

From email to spreadsheet row, without copy and paste

The fields you care about are extracted from each email and appended as a row to your spreadsheet. A deduplication column makes sure a retried step never writes the same row twice.

What you can automate with Google Sheets

Actions

What a workflow can do next.

Workflows you can build

Each one starts from a real situation and uses only nodes that exist today. Test it on past emails before you publish it.

  • Log every order

Order confirmations become rows: customer, products, total, date — ready for your weekly review.

    1. Email received
    2. Extract
    3. Sheets — append a row
  • Track job applications

The CV is read, the candidate’s details extracted, and a row added to the hiring sheet.

    1. Email received
    2. Read attachments
    3. Extract
    4. Sheets — append a row
  • Build a lead list from your inbox

Emails recognised as sales enquiries add the contact, company and need to your lead sheet.

    1. Email received
    2. Categorize
    3. Extract
    4. Sheets — append a row

How to connect Google Sheets

Sheets is a separate access on your Google connection: one click on Connect spreadsheets, one consent.

Before you start

  • A Google account already connected to Loop & Roll.
  • The spreadsheets access granted on that account.

The full guide in the documentation

  1. An administrator of your Loop & Roll instance registers your organisation’s Google OAuth application once, in a Google Cloud project.
  2. Each member opens Connections, clicks Add a connection, then Connect on the Google card, and accepts the consent screen.
  3. On the account’s row in Connections, click Connect spreadsheets: a separate consent, for that access only.
  4. Pick the account in the node: the workflow acts with that member’s own rights.
